Full MirrorLink on Samsung phones with Android 10
Samsung is just rolling updates to Android 10 for its phones, and it causes significant problems with the full MirrorLink as the new MirrorLink server uses an entirely different mechanism for mirroring screen content.
Thankfully, there is a solution to this. It needs a bit of work and settings, but you get the full MirrorLink and can activate it with just one click. It works great with Google Maps and Waze as well as other apps.

Hi, I downloaded Full MirrorLink | Floating Apps for Auto but could not get it to work. I have a Samsung S10e running Android 10 and Honda Civic 2015 which both support MirrorLink. I followed all the steps given in the Google Drive folder but I get the message, “ERR_EMPTY_RESPONSE” on my car screen after I try to start the stream ScreenStream app. Any help would be greatly appreciated since I spent money on this app which I was hoping would work 🙁

Before upgrading my S9+ to Android 10 FloatingApps Auto was wonderfull and it really let me enjoy the (poor) infotainment system of my Toyota with Mirrorlink.
Now with this tricky solution is really unconfortable. The solution works… but with a lot of problems.
First swipe doesn’w work at all (at least on Toyota Touch 2 systems). It reacts to single touches (with a few seconds delay) but it’s unpossible to swipe and this makes it almost useless to control any application. Form factor of S9+ is not 16:9 and this doesn’t fill my Toyota’s screen leaving black borders on top and bottom. But the worst thing is that you need to leave the smartphone screen on to mirror it thus consuming a lot of battery.
My adice is: stay away from Android 10 upgrade if you want to use your Samsung smartphone with Mirrorlink and FloatingApps.
The exact same thing happens to me with a Samsung S9 + Android 10 and Toyota Touch2 (Toyota C-HR 2017), it does not swipe on the infotaiment screen, and the phone screen is always on.
Samsung is ending mirrorlink support next month. Does it affect mirroring using this app?
Yes it will affect the app. Our app can only work if the MirrorLink connection can be established.
